Ronnie Patterson – Loveland Poet Laureate

There will be a program and reception to honor AAUW member, Veronica Patterson, as Loveland’s first poet laureate. It will be May 19 at 4 pm at the Rialto Theatre.   Her two year position was proclaimed by the City Council in April. Ronnie has published five collections of poetry, and is well known as a teacher, supporter, and promoter of the arts in Loveland. She serves as a mentor for many local writers. You are invited to come and celebrate Ronnie’s many contributions to the cultural life of Loveland, and learn about the way in which words, especially poetry, can illuminate our world.

AAUW Loveland May Luncheon Information

We will meet at Biaggi’s at 11:30am on May 4 for our spring luncheon where we will recognize our three scholarship winners and hear about activities in Loveland celebrating the Centennial of Women’s Suffrage. The menu will be pasta, salad and a non-alcoholic beverage and will cost $15.00. If you need a gluten free pasta let Martha know.

We are asking you to make reservations this year. Please let Martha DiCicco know by April 27 if you plan to attend. You may pay at the luncheon.   Please bring a check or the right change to make it easier for our treasurer who will write one check to Biaggi’s. If you want an alcoholic beverage you may order it and pay Biaggi’s for that.

If you make a reservation and cannot attend, you will need to pay for the meal as we must spend $350 at Biaggi’s to use their meeting room. If you cannot attend, you may have someone else come in your place.
