Our recent fundraising event was a wonderful success, with 51 people in attendance. It was a memorable evening featuring excellent speakers, engaging conversations, and a great turnout—a true celebration of community spirit and purpose. Thank you to everyone who helped make this 14th annual event such a success. We look forward to continuing this cherished tradition in the years to come.
Meet the Authors
Cynthia Swanson
Cynthia Swanson writes psychological thrillers, often set against rich historical backdrops. Her debut novel, The Bookseller, was a New York Times bestseller, an Indie Next selection, and winner of the WILLA Literary Award. It is slated to become a motion picture produced by Julia Roberts.
Her novel The Glass Forest was a USA Today bestseller, and Anyone But Her won the 2025 Colorado Book Award and was named 2024 Best Mystery/Thriller by the Indie Author Project. Cynthia also edited Denver Noir, winner of the 2023 Colorado Book Award for Anthology. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, she lives in Denver with her family.
Bob West
Bob West is a third-generation Coloradan and a Master of Architecture graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder. A former partner at the architectural firm OZ in Boulder, Bob sought a change of pace when he and his family purchased the Devil’s Washtub Ranch, a 3,850-acre working cattle ranch near Wheatland, Wyoming—despite having no prior experience with cattle.
After 15 years of weekend escapes and a 35-year architectural career, Bob relocated to a smaller ranch near Livermore, Colorado. There, he and his partner, Alanna, operated a bed and breakfast for six years while raising Scottish Highland cattle. He is currently at work on a sequel to his book Twenty Mile of Fence: Blueprint of a Cowboy.
